1. Who we are

BDEM Advisory Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17336684. We are the data controller for personal data collected through bdem.uk. You can reach us at hello@bdem.uk.

2. What data we collect

When you use the contact form we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Company name (optional)
  • The message you send us

We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or profiling technologies on this site.

3. How we use your data

We use the information you provide to:

  • Reply to your enquiry and correspond with you about it
  • Send you a confirmation that your message was received
  • Deliver advisory services if we go on to work together
  • Keep records required for tax, accounting and legal obligations

4. Legal basis

Under the UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases: your consent (when you send us a message), our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, performance of a contract once you become a client, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted providers that help us run the business, and only to the extent needed:

  • Website and email infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery)
  • Professional advisors (accountants, legal) where required
  • Authorities where we are legally required to do so

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep data

Enquiries that do not lead to a working relationship are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Records related to client engagements are kept for as long as we are required to under UK tax and company law (currently 6 years).

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data, where the law allows
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk)

8. Security

We use industry standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify affected users and the ICO of any incident where the law requires it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the "last updated" date at the top.
